Nexus Foams is all about high performance foam and soft material components. We have been developing and sourcing these products in partnership with our customers and suppliers for over 20 years – and we are still excited about what these materials can do across all the sectors we work in.

The company was founded by engineer and manufacturing specialist Nick Davenport. The main activity back then was to supply Norton Foam Sealants. However, converting foam into new components quickly became the main focus of the business and the enterprise went from strength to strength, becoming Nexus Foams in 2009.

Creative collaboration with our customers

The growth of our business is based on our ability to provide faultless customer service. Customers know we will take the time to understand the commercial challenges they face and use our expertise to create a workable, high value solution. This means working closely with customers, experimenting with design options, using our high-tech skills to combine different materials and applying our manufacturing know-how to develop a workable solution.

Over time, we have evolved to have specialist expertise and sophisticated systems and processes. These mean strict standards, on-going testing and checks to ensure products are code-compliant.

We’ve adopted ‘Just in Time’ inventory management. We are also ISO accredited and run a lean manufacturing process that ensures weare not only successful, but also cost-effective.

Our dedicated manufacturing facility in Auckland’s Highbrook Technology Estate allows us to represent leading flexible foam brands from around the world and design, prototype and manufacture new components. At the same time, our sites in East Tamaki (Auckland) and Christchurch add to our expanding network, which currently employs 37 staff and is growing.

We export around the world to markets like Asia, Australia and the United States – with our eye also on new opportunities overseas.

We grow as our customers grow

New technologies and manufacturing techniques are making it possible to produce exciting new foam and soft material components. However, the real Nexus Foams' difference remains our constant commitment to our customers. We consider our customers to be partners - their success means our success too. Our commitment is such that, if required, we can establish manufacturing sites overseas so we can work alongside our customers and engage local suppliers.

But no matter how we have grown, we still deliver outstanding value, unrivalled technical expertise with precision and customer service that is second to none.
