Tegel built a brand new state of the art hatchery in Christchurch utilising state of the art imported UPEC incubator and hatcher technology from Europe. The hatchery is designed for a total yearly setting capacity of 30 million chicken and turkey eggs.
The project requiring materials specifically suited to local commercial operations, and entailed the insulating of all HVC&R lines. David Browne were the mechanical services contractor; paramount to their success in the tender process was Thermobreak™'s thermal efficiency, and ease of installation and maintenance. As a result, the Tegel project was completed on time, and under budget, and is designed to provide ongoing consistent thermal properties throughout the lifespan of the material.
