Zephyr Technology

Nexus Foams worked with NZ company Zephyr Technology to help develop their patented BioHarness™ system. This product measures subjects’ ECG, heart rate, breathing rate and skin temperature; and is manufactured utilising Nexus Foams’ expertise in highly technical composite components and gaskets.

Zephyr Technology made international headlines in 2010 with the Chilean Mining Disaster, where the BioHarness™ was successfully used to monitor the 33 miners’ health for 69 days until their rescue, whilst they remained trapped 700 metres beneath ground.
